Folsum Tavern
Challenges
Milestone relocated and restored this 1700’s era tavern in Exeter, New Hampshire. The tavern was relocated approximately three hundred feet to Water Street. Prior to the move, Milestone replaced all of the sills in the building and reinforced the structure to allow the move. The building’s exterior was restored to its original clapboard and trim structure.
The building received the 2008 Preservation Achievement Award from the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance.
